CANTON, OH (WOIO) - In middle of his dinner break, second-shift patrolman Chris Wells was able to stop an armed robbery.
According to Capt. Jack Angelo Patrolman Wells saw the suspect, Dominick X. Johnson, shove what appeared to be money into his pocket at the Dueber Ave. Subway. Just as Johnson went to leave the store, Wells walked in, gave some verbal commands and he complied.
Wells had just pulled up to Subway to eat and said he got suspicious when he saw Johnson wearing a hoodie inside the restaurant and standing next to the cash register.
Johnson was arrested and being held on $50,000 bond.
No on was injured.
