CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Cleveland Browns quarterback Josh McCown spoke to media on Wednesday and talked about his favorite target in recent weeks, tight end Gary Barnidge.
"I don't know, I can't wait to see what happens. He's on a roll now and tends to do something every week, we'll see, I'm sure it'll be good whatever he does, whether he catches it with his shoes or something. He'll figure out something new, that's the good thing about Gary, he's been consistent and he's played at a high level and certainly been a big factor in while doing the things we have done offensively," McCown said when he was asked what Barnidge has up his sleeve. Last week against the Ravens, Barnidge caught the ball with his legs at the goal line for a touchdown.
Since McCown returned in Week 3, after missing week 2 with a concussion, McCown and Barnidge have played at a high level. Barnidge has a combined 319 yards on 20 catches and scoring a touchdown in each of the last three weeks.
McCown set a Browns record by passing for at least 300 yards in three consecutive games. In week 5, McCown threw for 457 yards in the Browns win over the Ravens.
