CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

On Sunday, October 18th, A Special Wish Foundation Cleveland Chapter partnered with the cast of Verb Ballets at PlayhouseSquare to make the dream of 5-year-old Hope Wodzisz come true.

Hope was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, or 1/2 a heart with no left ventricle.

After numerous heart surgeries, Hope was then placed on the heart transplant list at the Cleveland Clinic Children Hospital.

According to ASW, Hope received her new heart in July of 2014 and following some scary post-surgery moments and a long recovery, she is doing amazing.

One of the Verb Ballets dancers, Kate Webb, reached out to ASW, an organization that she is fond of, to express the groups desire to help, which turned out to be a perfect fit for "Ballerina for the Day".

Hope joined the cast of Verb Ballets at PlayhouseSquare as they rehearsed for the upcoming production of Denise Gula's, The Nutcracker at The Stocker Arts Center December 18-20, 2015 as part of the strategic alliance between Verb Ballets and Ohio Dance Theatre.
