Jury deliberates murder trial of ex-boyfriend

CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH (WOIO) - An Akron jury is deliberating the case of a man accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend to death.

Jeffrey Conrad, who represented himself, chose not to put on a defense for the trial.

The Cuyahoga Falls man is accused of killing Amanda Russell in August of 2014. The 40-year-old mother was found dead in the backyard on Aug. 28, 2014. She had been stabbed more than 50 times.

Conrad faces not only aggravated murder and other charges in connection with the death of  former girlfriend Amanda Russell in Cuyahoga Falls but also attempted aggravated murder charges for knifing a fellow inmate at the Summit County Jail.
