Pettine: If our starting QB is healthy, he will play

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine said on Monday that if quarterback Josh McCown (shoulder) is healthy, he will play Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. Mccown was injured during Sunday's loss to the St. Louis Rams and Johnny Manziel had to finish the game.

""If our starting quarterback is physically able to play, will we play him? Yes," Pettine said on Monday.

Pettine also talked about the NFL's investigation on Johnny Manziel and if it will interrupt Manziel's work week, ""We will be informed of it. I am sure that they are certainly mindful of what our schedule is. I am confident that we will be able to work around it."

""Certainly, but that is something – they understand the schedule that we are in. I am sure that whatever result, if there is some type of immediate result to it, than they would let us know as soon as possible," Pettine said when asked if he asked to be informed about Manziel's discipline.

The Browns are not 2-5 and will take on the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
