Firefighters rescued two women from a burning apartment building Wednesday night.

A 60-year-old woman was taken to Metro Hospital because she felt sick. A 90-year-old woman was also transported to Metro and is being treated for smoke inhalation.

The fire was contained to their apartment, which was on the second floor of a brick building in the 2500 block of East 46th Street
