CHAGRIN FALLS, OH (WOIO) - While you were sleeping, an annual Halloween tradition played out and despite one hiccup, it's being called a smashing success.

The Chagrin Falls Pumpkin Roll started around midnight on Grove Hill with about 100 students participating.

The pumpkin mess remained Thursday morning, but is expected to be cleaned up later in the day.

No arrests were made, but Chagrin Falls Police issued at least one citation. David Dunn, 51, was cited for dumping debris in the road.

Dunn will appear in Bedford Municipal Court on Nov. 18.

The Pumpkin Roll has been an annual tradition in Chagrin Falls, dating back to 1967.
