Stolen 'Christmas jar' replaced at Ohio library

Dover Public Library has replaced its infamous Christmas Jar, thanks to author Jason Wright.

With the idea of giving the funds raised to a Dover family in need at Christmas time, the library had collected $1,000 before the jar was stolen last month.

Wright, author of "Chistmas Jars", found out about the theft and started collecting his own donations. He gave them the jar full of cash earlier this week.

The man who stole the jar was caught on camera and was arrested about a week later.

Wright has said he'd like to buy the thief lunch and explain the charitable purpose of the jars.
