A Mile for Maisie " Costume Parade" took place at the Lakewood Park Pavilion on Saturday morning, Oct. 31.

More than  600 people participated in the event organized for 6-year-old Maisie Nowlin.

Nowlin is battling very severe aplastic anemia, a rare-blood disorder that will require her to receive a bone-marrow match.

So far no matches have been found.

Participants had the opportunity to stop by the "Be the Match" table set up at the parade, in order to receive a swab which will identify whether if they are a match.

It was a fun morning that included fun events such as music by a DJ, face painting and tattoo stations available.

As well as fun tricks and treats along the one mile route.
