Cavs finish strong after slow start to beat the Knicks 96-86

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the New York Knicks 96-86 Wednesday night. The Cavs have now won their last four games, after losing the season opener.

LeBron James led the Cavaliers with 23 points, he started off slow, the sleeved jerseys may have played a part. In the first half, James ripped the sleeves to give him more room, he scored 15 of his 23 after he did that.

Mo Williams is fitting in quite nicely while Kyrie Irving is out with injury. Williams shot 8 of 19 and scored 22 points and grabbed six rebounds. Kevin Love had his fourth double-double of the season, scoring 11 points and had 12 rebounds.

The Cavs had a 15 point lead in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't like that at the start of the game. The Knicks were shooting lights out, and jumped to a 32-18 lead after the first quarter. The Cavaliers defense tightened up, giving up 54 points in the final three quarters.

The Cavaliers will host the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night at Quicken Loans Arena. The Cavs defeated the 76ers 107-100 on Monday night.
