The deer population in Westlake are looking at a dangerous winter.
Westlake City Council voted last week to implement a deer cull, a selective reduction of wild animals, to control the city's swelling deer population.
Council members voted in favor of hiring sharpshooters, police and firefighters, as deer-vehicle accidents in the area increase.
Areas targeted will include parks and golf courses.
