LORAIN, OH (WOIO) -

As Shaker Heights continues to look at legislation into possibly banning new ownership of pit bulls, one local man is speaking up about his personal choice to keep his beloved furry friend.

Meet ‘Jerk’, a 13-year-old pure bred American Staffordshire Pit Bull.

His owner Camille chose to move from Parma to Richfield when Parma city officials installed legislation banning ‘Jerk’ from their community.

Camille is one of the owners at Rite-Nau Beverage Drive-Thru in Lorain. He and ‘Jerk’ greet customers daily at the store.

“Where I go, he goes,” says Camille of his best buddy. The pair have been inseparable from the beginning.

We first met ‘Jerk’ and his owner during a Carl Monday investigation into area pit bulls while out on a ride-along with the Lorain Police Department.
