CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The Cleveland Police Department is investigating a Wednesday morning robbery after a group of suspects drove into a Speedway gas station and stole an ATM.

Officers responded to the gas station on Broadview Road around 3:45 a.m. Upon arrival, they spoke with an employee who said he was near the coffee machine about 5 feet from the main door when a light blue pick-up truck backed into the spot near the door. He said the truck then jumped the curb and backed right into the door, shattering the glass and breaking the frame. The employee then ran and locked himself in the back of the store.

After hearing the vehicle leave, the employee came back into the store and found the ATM and truck were gone.

According to police, the vehicle used was reported stolen out of Cleveland on Monday.

There is no detailed description available of the suspects. Anyone with more information can call Second District detectives at (216) 623-5200.
