ERIE COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - Linda Gundlach will spend the next seven years behind bars for an accident that killed her friends son.

The 33-year-old was sentenced in Erie County Common Pleas Court for a 2014 deadly drunk driving incident.

Two children of Gundlach's friend, Autumn Collinsworth, 7, and Javin Jacues, 4, were riding with Gundlach when she drove into the Huron River around 11 p.m. She was backing out of a Riverview Drive driveway when the accident happened. Police say Gundlach did not stop when she reached the street and backed right into the water.

Autumn was freed from the vehicle and was taken to shore; Gundlach was also able to make it to shore. Javin was unable to be saved.

Gundlach had a blood alcohol level of one-and-a-half times the legal limit.
