Police in Summit and Cuyahoga counties are looking for a man who has been trying to rob several area retailers in recent weeks.
On Oct. 7, the thief allegedly tried to get away with $500 worth of 5-hour energy drinks at the WalMart on Arlington Avenue in Springfield Township. The product was recovered, but the suspect was too fast.
A month later, police said he tried to steal over $2,000 worth of energy drinks from a WalMart in Brimfield. The product was recovered but the suspect got away, again.
Then on Nov. 8, police say the same man pushed a shopping cart with $441 in 5-hour energy drinks out of the Giant Eagle in Solon. He put the drinks in gift bags that he also took from the store. This time, security wasn't able to stop him and he got away. The theft was caught on the stores surveillance video, hopefully someone will recognize him.
The thief is described as a white man in his early 20s, 6 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds. He has brown hair and was wearing a black North Face jacket. He was driving a newer Burnt Orange Jeep Patriot with luggage rails on the top.
Police say he has been known to also have a driver waiting.
If you have any information on who this may be, give police a call.
