AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

A longstanding Akron apartment building came tumbling to the ground Thursday morning.

Crews began demolition of what's left of the homes destroyed by last week's plane crash around 8 a.m. It only took minutes for demolition crews to tear down the damaged building on Mogadore Road.

This comes a day after the National Transportation Safety Board released information about what could have been factors in that twin engine plane going down. According to the agency's preliminary investigation report, a flight instructor on board a plane that landed at Akron Fulton Airport minutes before the crash, warned the pilot of the private jet about visibility issues.

The FAA says the 1979 Hawker H25 twin-engine business jet left Dayton and was on approach to Akron Fulton International Airport when it crashed  killing all nine on board.

Florida-based real estate company Pebb Enterprises is the company that rented the small jet plane. The fatalities included seven of their employees and the pilot and co-pilot.
