14-year-old shot in the face during drive-by

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland Police Third District Detectives are investigating a shooting on Friday, November 20, around 7:30 p.m. in the 7200 block of Melrose Ave.

In this incident, a 14-year-old black boy suffered a gunshot wound to the face.

The boy told police that he was standing in the driveway when a man driving a silver car pulled up.

The gunman fired a single shot and drove away.

Investigators found one casing in the street.

Soon after, an anonymous caller tipped police off about a silver Chevy Impala.

After following up on the tip, officers located the silver Chevy Impala in a driveway in the 7000 block of Everett Court.

Four males were arrested and four loaded handguns were confiscated.

Officers also conducted gunshot residue tests.

The teen was transported to Rainbow Babies and Children for treatment.  His current condition is unknown.

The matter remains under investigation.
