CONNEAUT, OH (WOIO) - The vehicle involved in the Amber Alert for 14-month-old Ayden Barnard out of Ashtabula County has been found.
Ayden is under the legal custody of Children Services, but he is believed to be with his mother, 23-year-old Chasity Cass, and his uncle, 40-year-old Shawn Barnard.
Authorities in Ashtabula County say they located the vehicle near SR 167 in the Pierpont area, but did not find little Ayden.
They say Cass and Barnard left on foot. Deputies believe Barnard was given a ride from the Caine Road area, but there is no word on where he may have gone.
Ashtabula County deputies say Shawn Barnard is a known methamphetamine manufacturer and may be making meth around the child.
Authorities say Chasity Cass has family in Atoka, Oklahoma and may be headed there.
If you see Ayden, his mother or uncle, or the vehicle they are traveling in, contact the Ashtabula County Sheriff's Office at (440) 576-0055, or call the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST.
