CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A Special Wish Foundation Cleveland Chapter(ASW) sent the Scaparotti Family to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Orlando, & Lego Land this holiday season.
Twenty-two month old, Joey Scaparotti is battling G1 Gangliosidosis, a life-threatening nerve illness at the Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital.
Parents, Sara & Sam Scaparotti of Cleveland wished to take Joey, and his older brother, 4 year-old, David, on a trip to Orlando and Walt Disney World.
ASW, which grants wishes for Cleveland children with life-threatening illness's between birth and twenty years of age stepped in to make this wish happen, "Joey and his entire family are wonderful people, and we are honored to help make this wish happen", says Jason Beudert, co-founder, A Special Wish Cleveland Chapter.
The family enjoyed a fun-filled week, and stayed at the Give Kids the World Village in Orlando.
"Words can't express how grateful we are to ASW for making this happen. It's been a challenging year and to be able to take a break from Doctor and therapist appointments to just enjoy time together as a family, something we rarely get to do these days, at "the happiest place on earth "was absolutely priceless", says, Sara Scaparotti.
The wish was made possible by the generous donations of the Rossi Family, Premier Produce One, Rocco Whalen & the Fahrenheit Restaurant, the Tominec Family, Willoughby South High School Volleyball Team, 1n3 LLC Event Management, and proceeds from the Princess & Pancake Ball at the SouthPark Mall.
