CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Bond set at $2M for a man accused of murdering his mom on Cleveland's west side.

Cleveland police say Burley Blankenship stabbed Chrisann Blankenship, 54, in her home at 3530 W. 119th St. on Oct. 24.

A state trooper in Iowa captured Burley Blakenship two days later in his mother's car. He was traveling 98 mph near Dows, Iowa on I-35.

Court papers indicate Burley is a U.S. Army veteran and told investigators, "because I was in the army, I have a license to kill." His alias was Michael Ark Angel.

Burley pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder. He will be back in court on Jan. 20.
