The Cleveland Cavaliers will take on the Golden State Warriors on Monday in an NBA Finals rematch of last season. Monday's game could be a preview of what we could see in June for the 2016 NBA Finals.
"Thinking about June is ridiculous. We only want to focus on today and to us to have any sense of entitlement about June is absurd to me. Only thing that matters is today and our opportunity for us to get better verse an unbelievable opponent, a worthy opponent, that's the only thing we can focus on. As far as what the future holds, we don't know, the future is unknown, the only thing we can worry about is the present," James said about possibly playing the Warriors again in June.
The Warriors defeated the Cavs 89-83 on Christmas Day in their first match up since the Finals.
James scored 25 points and added nine rebounds in the contest. Warriors point guard Stephen Curry left the game with a calf injury, but would return to the game, Curry scored 19 in the contest. Draymond Green scored 22 points and added 15 rebounds.
The Cavs are the odds on favorite to make it back to the Finals, but the Warriors will have a tough task if they want to get back to the Finals, they will have to get past the San Antonio Spurs, who is 36-6 on the season. The Warriors are 37-4.
The Cavaliers sit on top of the Eastern Conference with a 28-10 record.
