Lorain murder suspect pleads not guilty in fatal shooting of friend

LORAIN, OH (WOIO) -

A man suspected of fatally shooting his friend over the weekend pleaded not guilty in a Lorain courtroom Tuesday. 

Anthony Wayne Davis was arrested Sunday for the shooting death of Corrinna Charleton which happened on Saturday, Jan. 16.

Davis was placed on a $100,000 bond. 

Charleton was found dead in her home on W. 7th Court after officers responded to a shots fired call. Davis was seen walking from the home after the crime. 

The Lorain Police Department, with the help of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Lorain SWAT Team were conducting surveillance in the 100 block of Hamilton Ave. in an effort to find Davis.

The suspect was taken into custody when he was seen leaving an area home.
