ROCKY RIVER, OH (WOIO) -

The nanny accused of leaving two kids in the car while she went tanning has been approved for the diversion program. This program gives offenders the opportunity to avoid prosecution.

The 22-year-old nanny was inside Neon Beach tanning salon in October when someone saw the kids in the car and called Rocky River Police. Officers were in the parking lot when Loparich walked out of the tanning salon.

Loparich, who was babysitting at the time, was arrested and the children were turned over to their mother.

Hannah Loparich is charged with child endangering. If she successfully completes the diversion program, the court will dismiss the charges.

If she fails to follow the terms of the program or violates if any laws while in the program, she will be terminated and returned to the formal criminal court process.

Loparich will report back to the court on July 15.
