CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The city of Flint, Michigan is in a major water crisis as it deals with elevated lead levels in their drinking water.

People and businesses from all around are lending out a helping hand as residents are in need of help.

Detroit Lions defensive end, Ziggy Ansah is answering the call.

Ansah delivered 94,000 bottles of water to Flint on Friday. He is not the first NFL player to lend a helping hand, players on the Washington Redskins donated 3,600 bottles of Fiji water. Lions insider Tim Twentyman was on hand to catch the moments of the delivery.

And in case you were wondering,"Why 94,000?" Ansah wears the No. 94 jersey on the field.

Michigan's governor pledged additional state assistance on Thursday.
