CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Cleveland police say they have found the person responsible for a hit and run crash that sent a woman to the hospital earlier this month.

The woman, whose name has not been released, turned herself in Wednesday but has not yet been charged.

Police say Tina Lowe, 31, was crossing Fulton Road within the crosswalk on January 19 when a maroon Chrysler LHS traveled from Clark, turned onto Fulton and struck Lowe. The driver then pulled into the Marathon gas station and, while hiding behind a dark SUV, observed the scene briefly and then drove away.

Lowe was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center. Her condition has not been released.

According to police the 24-year-old is expected to be charged sometime tomorrow. Once she is charged, her name will be released.
