CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) - Police say a 12-year-old boy in northeast Ohio suffered burns to his back and buttocks when another boy poured boiling water on him as a prank.

The 9-year-old boy has been charged with felonious assault in connection with Sunday's incident, which happened in Cleveland Heights.

A police report says the two boys and a third agreed to play pranks on each other during a sleepover.

The report says three boys boiled a pot of water while the 12-year-old was asleep and the 9-year-old poured several drops onto him. The older boy screamed and threatened to beat up the younger boy.

The police report says his mother called an ambulance after the boy went home.
