Suspect in carjacking pleads not guilty

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The 20-year-old man accused of carjacking a woman in Ohio City and then running her over with her own car appeared in court Thursday. 

Brandon Clark is charged with felonious assault and robbery. He pleaded not guilty and was given a $100,000 bond.The carjacking happened Tuesday morning on Clinton Avenue.

The 67-year-old victim apparently saw Clark stealing a bike from her yard and jumped in her car to go after him. Marsha Pressman cut him off with her vehicle.

Clark stopped, opened the car door, dragged her from the vehicle and began punching her. Clark then entered the victim's car, backed into her and drove away.

He crashed at W. 32nd and Franklin and was quickly taken into custody.

Pressman was treated and released from MetroHealth Medical Center
