CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The Cleveland police will soon be installing dash cameras in police cruisers.
According to Cleveland City Hall, Cuyahoga County has encumbered $500,000 for Cleveland to make the purchase once a vendor is selected.
Cleveland is currently in a trial phase with TASER this month and next. TASER is the same company used to purchase body cameras for the Cleveland Police Department.
The city says their goal is to have the dash cams purchased and in the field by the second or third quarter of this year.
