Chillicothe, OH - Convicted Chardon school shooter, TJ Lane has been misbehaving behind bars.
The 21-year-old is imprisoned at Chillicothe Correctional Institution.
Our investigative team found out, Lane, was in trouble, just last week with prison officials in Chillicothe, for altering his shorts, and breaking a set of headphones.
The now long-haired, bearded inmate has had a series of missteps while in prison from admitting to smoking marijuana to not wearing deodorant.
The biggest infraction was when the Chardon school shooter escaped from Oakwood Correctional Facility in Lima, Ohio in 2014.
Lane was captured less than six hours later, about a 100 yards from the prison, according to the prison warden. Two officers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol special response team captured him on the north side of the prison, near a church on Bluelick Road.
He was taken into custody without incident, and returned to the prison.
TJ Lane shot and killed three students and wounded three others at Chardon High School in February 2012. He opened fire in the cafeteria.
17-year-old Russell King Jr., 16-year-old Daniel Parmertor, and 16-year-old Demetrius Hewlin were killed. 17-year-old Nick Walczak was paralyzed from the waist down, and 18-year-old Joy Rickers and one other student were injured.
Lane's court case drew national attention when he wore a white T-shirt to his sentencing with "killer" written across the front.
He also gave the victims' families the finger and laughed when the families described him as an animal and a monster.
Lane received three life terms in prison with no chance for parole.
