CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - According to the National Chicken Council's 2016 Wing report, Americans will consume 1.3 billion wings for Super Bowl 50, up 3% from last year's Super Bowl.
The Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos will play in the 50th Super Bowl this Sunday.
Think about it:
- If 1.3 billion wings were laid end to end, they would stretch from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina to Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver almost 53 times.
- 1.3 billion wings are enough wings to put on more the 600 on every seat in all 32 NFL stadiums.
- 1.3 billion chicken wings is enough for every man, woman and child in the United States to have four wings each.
Drumette, flat or whole wing?
According to a survey by the site, 46% of people prefer drumette wings, 25% prefer flats, 10% prefer whole and 19% love them all.
Wings have become a staple on Super Bowl Sunday, along with pizza, chips and dip.
You can catch Super Bowl 50 on Cleveland 19 this Sunday at 6:30 P.M.
