CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Minutes after a 3-year-old was taken in a stolen car in Cleveland, she was found safe about two miles away.
The nightmare is over for the little girl's uncle, whose car and niece were taken outside a Shell gas station at East 30th Street and Carnegie Avenue around 8 p.m. Monday.
About ten minutes after the car was taken, the child was found in the area of Broadway and Morton walking in the street alone, police said.
According to the police, the child's uncle went into the gas station to pay for gas and left the child in the car and keys in ignition. Sources say the child's uncle has been arrested and charged with child endangerment for leaving the child unattended in the car.
The gold Chevy Equinox was taken by unknown suspects and is still missing.
It has Ohio license plate, GML9618.
The little girl was checked by EMS and appears unharmed.
If you see the car give police a call.
