CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The man accused of leaving his 3-year-old niece in a car that was stolen from a gas station on the east side, pleaded not guilty to child endangering and driving under suspension at his arraignment Wednesday morning.

Police say Frederick Grair III, 31, went inside the Shell Gas Station at East 30th and Carnegie Monday to pay. That's when someone jumped into his his vehicle with his niece inside. 

The little girl was found safe a couple miles away. The car was found abandoned Tuesday afternoon. 

The suspect remains on the loose. Grair's bond is $500.
