DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - K & D Apartment community owners and managers are the latest to throw their hat into the much sought after and high priced Republican National Convention housing market.
K & D are now allowing this one exception for their tenants to sublet their apartments to RNC-goers.
They've put up posters in five of their downtown buildings to notify their renters about the opportunity. The only requirement is that their tenants have to go through the RNC Host Committee who will be handling everything.
"The host committee is going to be taking care of everything from point A to point Z, in that they're going to be cleaning, they are going to be screening the people that apply through a specific website," said Cheri Ashcraft, K & D's Director of Corporate Communications.
The suggested rent for each apartment per week is double what a tenant's monthly rent would be.
There are fees involved that the tenant will have pay related to the renting of their apartment, and K & D will get paid a fee as well.
Tenants who are interested must apply through the RNC Host Committee's HERE.
