Resident donates pet oxygen mask to fire department

ORANGE VILLAGE, OH (WOIO) - The Orange Village Fire Department received a generous donation from a resident.

Judi Phancuff dropped by the station and donated oxygen resuscitation masks to be used on dogs and cats that have been rescued from a fire.

Many members of the fire department have used these devices with success.

Phancuff was representing the Airedale Terrier Club of Northern Ohio and brought along Spencer and Winston.

Oxygen resuscitation masks can be used on pets that have suffered from smoke inhalation and pets that need to be resuscitated after losing consciousness from exposure to the dangerous toxic fumes.
