MEDINA, OH (WOIO) - What a great weekend for the 22nd Annual Medina Ice Festival.
The four-day ice event kicks off Friday and runs through the weekend.
The icy event will showcase nearly 100 ice sculptures sponsored by local businesses.
Planned activities on Friday include a speed carving competition at 5:30 p.m. followed by the lighting of the Fire & Ice Tower at 7 p.m. an individual carving competition on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. and a team carving competition on Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m.
All works of ice art will be on display as they are created, and may be viewed throughout the weekend, day and night.
The event is admission free, and there is free parking around the 9 block Historic District.
