AKRON, Ohio (AP) - An advertising campaign wants people to fall in love in Akron and with the city too.
The "You Had Me At Akron" promotion launched Sunday suggests date-night spots around the city via brochures, a website and social media.
The Akron Beacon Journal reports the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation paid for the $28,500 campaign.
Various couples, gay and straight, share some of their favorite locations as part of the effort.
Charlene DeJournett, a patient navigator for the Center for Holistic Health, participated with her husband, Robert, and says that "if you live in Akron, you ought to love Akron."
Engaged couple Matt McCallum and Ben Manista say they enjoy going to music venues downtown.
