CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Four Kent, OH police officers involved in the December 17, 2015 deadly shooting have returned to work.

Immediately after the shooting, the officers were placed on paid Administrative Leave pending investigation.

25-year-old Douglas "Doug" Yon was shot when he wouldn't leave a Virginia Ave. home and refused to drop a machete when confronted by police, according to authorities.

While outside investigations, by BCI and the Portage County Sheriffs Department, may not be entirely complete, the administrative investigation within the Kent Police Department found officers followed department policy and procedure.

December's shooting was first in Kent since 1992.
