CLEMSON, SC (CBSNEWSPATH) - Governor John Kasich shared an emotional moment with a supporter during a town hall in Clemson, South Carolina Thursday.
"I drove up today from the University of Georgia, and sorry for you all, but uh I did it because I wanted to let you know, and let everybody else here know why I'm supporting you and why that support is unwavering," supporter said.
The Kasich supporter told a story about how a loved one committed suicide and a string of hardships thereafter.
"I was pretty depressed, but I found hope and found it in the Lord and in my friends and now I've found it in my presidential candidate that I support and I'd really appreciate one of those hugs you've been talking about," the supporter asked.
Kasich hugged the man and whispered into his ear.
