CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Owner of LolitaMichael Symon spoke to Cleveland 19 News with an update on his restaurant.

A fire broke out at Lolita restaurant in Tremont on January 10th.

"We're actually still not even in the building, redoing as of yet. All those insurance things are still happening. It's probably going to take us close to a year to get it reopened, but we will reopen," Symon said. "That was our original restaurant, 19 years ago this month.  We're going to make it happen as quickly as I can.  It's like my first born, that was my child.  Everything that I have in my life is because of that restaurant. And so it's a very important restaurant to myself, Liz and Doug,  and we're excited to get it back open but it is going to take a little bit of time."

Symon tweeted that everyone made it out of the building safely.

The cause remains under investigation.
