INDEPENDENCE, OH (WOIO) - Police are investigating after a 6-year-old boy died from an apparent drowning at the DoubleTree Hotel Saturday.
According to the medical examiner's office, the boy has been identified as Anthony Kelly of Cleveland.
Police say the six-year-old was at the hotel for a birthday party. The group was being supervised at the time by a juvenile, while the adult who brought the group to the DoubleTree was in a hotel room.
Police say a man, not with the party, pulled Anthony from the pool. A hotel employee and bystander began performing CPR.
