CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - How much do you use your cell phone while driving? A new device can block you from texting and driving, and provide reports on your driving habits.
"It helped me a lot because I didn't look at my phone at all. Didn't get any texts or any messages or phone calls," said 17-year-old Catherine McNaghten.
It's saving lives and money and called Drive ID.
"Even while driving, it made me try to do better while driving and not stop as quickly and go out as fast because I didn't want to see those reflected in the app," she said.
Cleveland 19 News Reporter Jen Picciano is taking Drive ID for a test drive tonight at 11 p.m.
There is also a free app that analyzes your driving from braking and acceleration to speed and aggressive driving. The DriveUP app also knows if you use your phone.
