CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Two people have been charged in the death of 71-year-old Annie Williams.

Williams died at South Pointe Hospital Sunday, July 12 after being attacked by a pit bull on Pennington Road in Shaker Heights. Police say Williams was picking up her two great granddaughters in Shaker Heights when the dog attacked.

The dog was at the home of Bobbi Green and her son Leon Morton. They were both indicted on reckless homicide and involuntary manslaughter charges.

The animal was wounded by a neighbor, who shot at the dog after witnessing the attack. The wounded dog was then shot and killed by officers in a backyard in the 3600 block of Pennington.
