CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Andy Varejao may not have meant it as a shot at the Cavaliers' team chemistry, but his comment on how personally close the Warriors are led to a classic response from LeBron James on Wednesday.
"I would hope if you're 50-5, that everyone loves each other, I mean, *expletive*" James said, following the team's shootaround. "What else do you want at that point? Duh. Anybody could say that. Stevie Wonder could say that."
Varejao, who joined the Warriors over the weekend after being traded to and then cut by the Portland Trail Blazers, told CSN Bay Area, "I'm glad I came here, because I can tell they love each other."
But that's not all Varejao said.
"That's what it's about. When you want to win, you have to be like they are. Friends that have fun out there, have fun in the locker room. I've been here for a couple hours, but I can tell. I can tell this group, they love each other," added Varejao.
Varejao made his Warriors debut on Wednesday night against the Miami Heat.
