Home invasion victim arrested, suspects remain on the loose

NORTH CANTON, OH (WOIO) - North Canton Police investigating a home invasion arrested one of the victims.

Police were called to 907 E. Maple Street early Friday morning. Two men and one woman, who all live at the address, told police two men busted in the home and demanded money at gunpoint.

One of the men told police he gave them their rent money while the other man ran out the front door and called 911.

While interviewing the victims, it was discovered that one of them, 22-year-old Christopher P. Barr, had an outstanding warrant for theft. He was arrested.

The suspects left before police arrived but while searching the neighborhood K-9 Officers recovered a gun in the snow near the home.

According to police both suspects are black men in their early 20s around 6 ft. tall. Both suspects were described as wearing black on black clothing, gloves, and without masks.
