The Indians belted three home runs, including Mike Napoli's dramatic two-out, solo homer in the 9th with two outs to temporarily save the day and tie the game at 5, but it still wasn't enough, as the Minnesota Twins, the worst team in the American League, beat them for the second straight night in walk-off fashion, 6-5 at Target Field.
Miguel Sano singled off of Cody Allen in the 9th to bring Brian Dozier home to win it for the Twins.
Jason Kipnis opened the scoring with a solo home run in the first, and Juan Uribe also went deep with a solo homer in the third, but the Indians never led in the game.
Carlos Santana added an RBI double in the 6th.
Cody Anderson went five-and-two thirds innings for the Indians, giving up five runs.
The Indians (9-9) take on the Twins again on Wednesday.
