CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A United Airlines flight had to make an emergency landing at Hopkins Airport due to a mechanical issue.

The flight, which was heading from Newark to Omaha, landed safely.

No one was injured.

Hopkins released the following statement:

A United pilot requested permission to land due to a mechanical issue. Landed safely. Flight was from Newark to Omaha. Mechanical issue was with the engine-not sure of all the details. United is working to inspect the plane before making any decisions on putting them on a new craft or fix the one they are on.
Too early to say how long they will be at the airport.

Sam Ro, Managing Editor of @YahooFinance, was on the plane and tweeted about the incident.
