CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Two picks in, and the Browns have surprised us again, taking defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah with the first pick of Round 2.
As was the case with their first round pick, wide receiver Corey Coleman, Ogbah wasn't hyped much heading into the draft, at least not in connection with the Browns, which of course doesn't mean he isn't a solid pick.
The Nigerian native is still fine-tuning his game, but was enough of a force at Oklahoma State to rack up 13 sacks and be named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. Some scouts believe he's strictly a defensive end because of his build, but Browns head coach Hue Jackson has already said Ogbah is fast enough to play linebacker as well. The Browns had more than a few offers on the table for that 32nd overall pick, but they kept it and went with Ogbah, which tells us all we need to know about how much they like him.
Stay tuned…much more to come.
