CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - *Rest or Rust? The 8-day layoff didn't affect the Cavaliers in the first quarter. They pretty much picked up where they left off in the first round, draining 3's (6 of 'em in the opening quarter), and pushing the pace. Kyrie, who threw down almost 28 points/game against the Pistons, led the way with 10 points in the first quarter.
*LeBron's new lineup? James opened the second quarter on the court with Delly, Richard Jefferson, Channing Frye and Iman Shumpert. Oh, and an 11-pt lead. Three and a half minutes later, the Cavs were still up 10. It's an interesting lineup to go to, while resting the other starters.
*Looking for Love? Kevin went for 18 points and 12 rebounds/game in the Pistons series, but cooled off from the field as the series closed out. In Game 1 vs. the Hawks, he opened by going 0-for-6 in the first quarter. Four and a half minutes into the 2nd, he drained a "3" to break the ice, but that was the only field goal he made in the first half.
*The Better Bench? Richard Jefferson continues to come off the bench and contribute key shots. In the second quarter against the Hawks he hit a couple of big "3's", and threw down a crowd-electrifying dunk on a fast break.
*Hawks Grounded? Al Horford and Kyle Korver combined for ZERO points in the first half. Tough for the Hawks to hang with the Cavaliers when their big man and 3pt specialist are non-factors.
