CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Cleveland firefighters are dealing with an uncommon issue.
This after the city's five air compressors broke. The air compressors are what firefighters use to fill up their tanks.
The main one at 312 Carnegie broke about 14 months ago and the last one broke about 10 days ago.
The city is currently sending an air truck to a fire station in Valley View every day to fill up. That truck then goes to the various Cleveland stations and tops off the tanks.
Local 93 President Tim Corcoran says the big concern is that if the city has several large fires in a day, they could find themselves depleted real quick.
Corcoran adds you can go through two tanks on a "normal" house fire.
Calls out to the city have not been returned.
