7 homes evacuated after gas leak in Olmsted Township

OLMSTED TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) -

Seven homes were evacuated around 8:30 a.m. Thursday after a contractor hit a gas line. 

Columbia Gas shut off the gas around 10:30 a.m. and the residents were allowed back inside the home in the area of Bronson and Bagley Roads. 

The contractor was working on a sewer project.

Bronson Road had to be closed off between Cook Road and the railroad tracks.
